Arclight OSRS – How Good Is Arclight In 2023
Arclight OSRS is an improved version of the Darklight sword that proves to be particularly effective against demons. The sword has been enhanced with a more potent passive effect, as well as improvements in attack bonus and speed.
What makes Arclight OSRS stand out from its predecessor is its ability to provide a significant 70% boost in accuracy and damage to all of the wielder’s equipment stats when used against demonic creatures, not just to the blade itself.
This feature allows Arclight OSRS to surpass the damage output of other weapons, such as the Saeldor blade and the Vitur scythe, when facing these specific targets.
Combat Styles:
Arclight OSRS is a slash sword that offers four combat styles: Chop, Slash, Lunge, and Block. Each style has its own benefits and can be used in different situations.
1. Chop:
This style is the most accurate and is recommended for players with a high Attack level. It is useful for quickly defeating enemies with low defense, but it can be slow against those with high defense.
2. Slash:
This style is aggressive and recommended for players with a high Strength level. It sacrifices accuracy for more damage output, making it ideal against high-defence enemies.
3. Lunge:
This style is controlled and recommended for players who want to level up Attack, Strength, and Defence at the same time. It sacrifices some accuracy and damage output for a more balanced approach to combat.
4. Block:
This style is defensive and recommended for players who want to level up their Defense. It is useful for tanking hits and protecting yourself in combat.
Acquisition:
Arclight OSRS is an improved version of Darklight that can only be wielded by players with an Attack level of 75 or higher. To create Arclight, players must possess a Darklight and three Ancient shards.
They must then use Darklight on the altar located in the middle of the Catacombs of Kourend, while keeping the Ancient shards in their inventory.
If players try to create Arclight OSRS without using the altar, a message will appear stating that they require additional power from the catacombs altar.
When first obtained, Arclight has 1000 charges, but players can increase this number by 1000 for every three additional Ancient shards they use to charge it.
Arclight can hold a maximum of 10,000 charges, and one charge is consumed for every successful attack made with it, except for special attacks. Arclight OSRS will return to its normal state, Darklight, as soon as all of its charges have been depleted.
Due to the rarity of Ancient shards, it can be challenging to use Arclight continuously without running out of charge.
Therefore, players are advised to avoid recharging Arclight when it already has over 9000 charges, as this will waste the potential of the remaining shards.
If players happen to lose their Arclight, they can replace it by paying Sir Prysin 1,000 for Darklight and then enhancing it with Ancient shards once again.
The Special Attack:
Arclight OSRS possesses a formidable special attack known as “Weaken,” which can be a valuable asset during combat.
The player must expend half of their special attack energy on this attack, and their foe’s Strength, Attack, and Defense will be lowered by 5% (10% for demons) of their current level +1.
Notably, the Weaken effect is still applied even if the player hits the target but causes no damage, unlike the dragon warhammer, which only applies its special effect upon successfully hitting and damaging the target.
The accuracy of the Weaken special attack depends on the combat style type bonuses, either stab or slash, and rolls against a predetermined stab defense roll. When successful, the Weaken effect stacks additively, while the dragon warhammer stacks multiplicatively.
Two successful Weaken attacks can cut an opponent’s stats in all three categories by 10%, or by 20% if the target is a demon.
Arclight’s Passive Effect:
When used against demonic creatures, Arclight OSRS is a weapon that confers a sizable improvement in accuracy and damage to all of your equipment stats, not just the stats of the blade itself.
This can result in higher damage output compared to other powerful weapons like the Saeldor blade or Vitur scythe in certain situations.
It’s important to keep in mind, however, that Arclight’s special effect only applies to demonic enemies, so it’s crucial to consider this when selecting opponents to battle.
Used In Recommended Equipment:
Arclight OSRS is a powerful weapon against demonic creatures, and players should consider using it in their equipment setup when facing these foes.
In addition to its enhanced passive effect, Arclight provides a +10 stab bonus and +38 slash bonus, making it a formidable weapon.
It has a base attack speed of 4, and its special attack, Weaken, can be a game-changer in battle
Conclusion:
Arclight’s unique special attack is extremely effective in combat and does not deplete any of the weapon’s charges. This upgraded version of Darklight has an improved passive effect that significantly increases a player’s accuracy and damage output by 70% against demonic creatures.
Additionally, Arclight still possesses the Weaken special attack from Darklight, which has the ability to reduce an opponent’s Strength, Attack, and Defense levels by 5% (or 10% against demons) of their current level plus one.
